Positive
Intervention in Parenting Programs |
| |
A
hallmark of all programs throughout the U.S. that bear the name "Florence
Crittenton", are teen pregnancy prevention and care for teen
mothers and their children. Crittenton provides pre-natal care, parenting
classes pre- and post-delivery, and programs for fathers. Programs
are intended to help break the insidious cycle of abuse and neglect
and to support. |

Parent
& Child Education (PACE) Center |
| |
PACE
is housed in the Valley View Campus (where all teen moms reside).
Day care is provided while teen residents are in school or at work.
Parenting classes are offered, birthing coaches, breast feeding coaches,
and infant massages are all available. Pregnant teens are encouraged
to spend time with babies in PACE under staff supervision so they
can prepare for infant care in advance of their own child's birth. |

Home
Visitor |
| |
As
with any other teen parenting program, our goal is to break the cycle
of child abuse. Our Home Visitor Program is a volunteer outreach program
for teen moms after they leave our residential program. This program
offers continuing parenting classes as well as life skills and family
functioning. In addition, the Home Visitor Program offers referrals
for employment, medical & dental care, mental health and many
other services new moms might need.
