Children
in our care receive individual counseling, group therapy, and many
additional services. Each child's needs are assessed upon admission
and reassessed regularly thereafter so that a treatment plan can be
developed unique to each child. Our healing professionals are commited
to helping each client rediscover themselves and their potential for
creating relationships and enjoying life to its fullest.
Therapeutic
Services
Crittenton
employs only licensed and license-eligible therapists to deliver counseling
services. We also provide the services of psychiatrists, physicians,
and other specialists under contract.

Treatment Program |

Under
funding ony recently made available to child protection agencies,
additional therapy and case management services are available to the
children placed in our care, teens to the age of 21 still requiring
care after they emancipated from the foster care system, and children
in foster homes. To provide these services, licensed or license-eligible
therapists and one case manager work with 8-10 clients to help facilitate
group therapy, work with families, and to ensure that our clients
receive all the services they need. |

Under
the supervision of an RN, 3 LVN's and a like number of nursing assistants
provide medical services to the clients of Crittenton. Arranging doctors
visits when needed, following through on medical care plans, monitoring
medication, apply band-aids to the minor scrapes of childhood - the
medial staff protect the health of our clients.
Through a program of community outreach, we secure dental services,
vision services, and such odds and ends as tattoo removal and breast
reduction surgery from caring members of the healthcare community. |

Recreation
Therapy |
| |
Many
of us learned to work as a team member, to accept success and failure
gracefully, and to build self-esteem while at play as children. Most
of our clients have not had such opportunities. Our team of recreation
therapists develops group and individual activities based on the interests
and abilities of each client to help them realize their potential
and recapture the joy of play. |
